GradeLens AI

FREE ALPHA · IPHONE · UPDATED SEPTEMBER 7, 2026

Your first scan.
One step at a time.

No grading experience needed. Start here, then tell us what worked, what felt confusing, and what we missed.

01 / INSTALL

Join on your iPhone

  1. Install Apple’s TestFlight app.
  2. Open the GradeLens TestFlight invitation on your iPhone and follow the install steps.
  3. Open GradeLens and sign in with your own Apple account. You do not need business-account access or reviewer credentials.

If TestFlight says the beta is unavailable, wait for our announcement. Access depends on Apple review and available spaces; the initial group is limited to 25 testers.

Already testing? Update without uninstalling, then check that your saved Vault is still there. If it looks empty, do not erase local data or delete the app.

02 / YOUR FIRST 10 MINUTES

Take a scan you can learn from

  1. Prepare your card

Start with an ordinary card you own. Write down any damage you can see before scanning. Remove the sleeve or holder only if safe. Use a plain, smooth, non-shiny surface that contrasts with the card’s border.

  2. Take your first Quick scan

Choose Quick, then TCG for Pokémon and other trading-card games, or Sports for sports cards. Take the front and back photos. Keep the phone steady and leave visible space around every edge.

  3. Check each photo

Make sure all four corners are visible and the card is sharp. Retake blurry photos or glare-covered areas. Manual capture is fine: use AUTO OFF beside the shutter. The automatic outline is framing help, not a measurement or a grade.

  4. Read beyond the number

Compare the report with the damage you noticed. Photo confidence describes how well the photos support the result—not how good the card is. A high estimate or a green check does not prove there is no damage.

  5. Inspect the details

Open the original photos and zoom in. Compare Original, Monochrome, Contrast, and Inverted when available. Filters can help you inspect a mark, but they do not add missing detail or prove damage. Try Precision later for the extra lighting views.

  6. Check your Vault

Save the report, close and reopen GradeLens, and confirm it is still there. Check Cloud Vault status before relying on a backup. If anything appears missing, keep the app installed and contact support.

For Precision, keep the card and phone still and move the light as instructed. Keep GradeLens open until it confirms the evidence is secured. After that, processing can continue on the server; reopen the scan to see the result.

03 / FREE, WITH LIMITS

A little testing each day

3Quick scans / day
2Precision scans / day

These are per-account allowances, subject to the shared daily service budget. Limits reset at 00:00 UTC—8 p.m. Eastern during daylight saving time, or 7 p.m. in winter. If the app shows analysis attempts, each scan reserves two passes, so counters may count in pairs.

Failed analysis may use your allowance. If the same scan fails twice, stop retrying and report it. If a limit is reached, try after the reset. Payments are off during this alpha. You do not need to buy credits or send payment details.

04 / KEEP THE INSTRUCTIONS

Both PDFs are updated for Build 84 and the current free-alpha limits. Open one in your browser, or download a copy to read offline.

05 / TELL US WHAT HAPPENED

Honest feedback makes this useful

Use TestFlight’s feedback feature or email support@dmcmgp.com. Include:

“The front bottom-left corner is bent, but the report did not flag it.”

Specific examples help more than “the grade was wrong.” Keep the original report and photos. Never send passwords, access keys, or payment details. Do not damage a card to create a test.
